In 2008, the Council published an important document, Requirements for Physician Competencies in Allergy: Key Clinical Competencies Appropriate for the Care of Patients With Allergic or Immunologic Diseases: A Position Statement of the World Allergy Organization. It provides guidance on the optimum content of training programs in allergy for all levels of physicians who see patients with allergic diseases.

Conferences On-Line for Allergy (COLA) at Children's Mercy Hospital & Clinics

Conferences On-Line for Allergy (COLA) is a collaboration of the Children's Mercy Hospital & Clinics section of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology with the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI). The purpose of this venture is to provide access to allergy-related educational experiences for practicing and academic allergists as well as for primary care providers and the general public.

Conferences are held generally on Mondays and Fridays from 10:00 am to noon (Central time). They can be attended live via GoToMeeting. In addition, they are recorded and archived for on-demand listening. They are also available as video podcasts through iTunes.
